Arch R. Tinker Cleveland,  TN First Gear Thermo Winter riding suit I had a friend who told me about this Thermo suit from First Gear Company. I purchased one of these suits and have ridden with temps in the low twenty's with only a couple of layers underneath. I am about 5'8" and 170 lbs and the Large is a great fit. I purchased the Medium size suit first after reading some of the other reviews and the medium was way too small to have anything other than a single layer underneath. I have not been in the rain as of yet but have ridden through fog and damp cold mornings in the low 30's. The suit is a little bulky to stow, but when you’re in temps that are real cold you need this type of gear. A great improvement over a leather jacket and chaps while riding my Harley to work. I recommend this suit to anyone who rides below 50 degrees.

LuisBarrantes Poulsbo,  WA The Good the Bad no Ugly I wanted this because I commute very early in the morning (4:30am) to catch a ferry and it was starting to get a bit nippy last month. The suit is very nice for this purpose keeping me very warm without the need to have an electric vest or jacket. I like not having to have cords hanging around. It works so well that I have started to take a lighter jacket to ride back home in the afternoon with because it is too hot with this suit. I have had to ride in heavy rain and this suit, true to its word, kept me dry and comfortable. I would highly recommend it to any serious rider that hates riding cold. One drawback is that the legs are too long for the torso. Being a one piece it needs to be easy to pull your arm out of so I got the XXL after getting stuck in the XL. But the legs are long enough for Yao Ming!!! They just bag up and make a loud sound as I walk on the ferry :( Otherwise a great buy! Plan to get one for my son when he comes home from college.

Tim Grayland,  WA Thermo Suit Only complaint, really needs heat shield on legs. Melted the right leg on my pipes, an '09 Ultra Classic. Sizing seems a bit big but that might be a plus depending on layering. Ample length and plenty warm by itself. Ride to work in a polo shirt, 40 degrees and raining. Again, needs heat shield on legs.

jon Independence,  OR thermo rain gear I have ridden in a heavy down pour at about 40 degrees for 45 minutes and was completely dry and warm. On a previous trip without the rain and betweeen 25-30 degrees I started to feel a little chill after about 30 minutes, but I was only wearing a t-shirt and shorts under the suit. I think it is well worth the money at 150.00.

gregg laurens,  SC great suit As most others have mentioned, the legs are long but that is much better than being too short. I ordered a Large to make sure I had room for clothing underneath. I am 160lbs, 5'10" and wear 32x32 pants. The legs are long and snug, the torso is a bit tall for me too, but it is not bad at all. I have ridden at 32 degrees and was warm as could be under the suit. I also rode home at around 72 degrees and was not overly HOT. Very comfortable and has a very good range of temperatures to wear.

robin ricca rural Hall,  NC thermal suit Very pleased with the warmth provided by the suit however the suit legs are a bit wide and to my sadness the heat from my pipes burned through the leg.

Ron Seattle,  WA Worth the investment Pro: Great suite for the NW weather. I rode in heavy rain and temperatures around 35-40F. I was warm and dry. Over 55F the suite feels (too) warm. I first got L size and it was too large (I am 5' 10” about 140lbs). Medium size was the right one. Cons: It is not armored though. For some it could be a drawback.

Jon Chandler Elkmont,  AL Totally negates weather as a factor. Can't say enough about this suit for Winter Riding and especially commuting. Got it a couple days back. Very well made, easy on and off even with boots. 120 grams of Thinsulate (half as much as most snowmobile suits) makes it feel not bulky at all. Legs are cut long for plenty of coverage while seated, and looks to be the most waterproof suit I have ever had. Certainly more than my Tourmaster one piece. Anyway, rode it in the last two mornings on my morning commute which is done at 0615. Temp yesterday was 30.2 and 27 degrees today. I wore the suit with only slacks and polo shirt underneath and was toasty warm the entire 35 miles. This suit has totally negated outside temps and made cold weather riding fun again.
