Icon Alliance SSR Battlecry Helmet

In a photo the Alliance SSR Battlecry may look like last year's Alliance SS but it's really a new helmet! The SSR has an all new removable washable liner that is made of Icon's exclusive moisture wicking liner material called Hydra Dry. This, ultra comfortable, Hydra Dry material wicks sweat away from the rider keeping them cooler and dryer. It also evaporates out this moisture twice as fast as previous materials so when you put your helmet back on after a hot ride it won't be like putting a wet, sweaty sponge on your head.

All Alliance SSR helmets come with Icon's Fog-Free shield and our quick release mechanism that has been noted as an industry leader is ease of use and durability. The shell of the Alliance SSR is the same injection molded polycarbonate/ABS blend that is has been in the past although upgraded over the original Alliance by passing the Snell M2005 standard as well as DOT. This shell features two Supervents that produce great venting but maintain a streamlined shape.

Frank arlington,  VA First Helmet Well I’m a biking newb and it is my first helmet but I’m happy. No problem with the helmet holds tight to my head, vents ARE great (if your hot pop them open, cold closed them). I do get a flow of air thru my chin. I don’t know if that expected or not but it does bug a bit on cool days when I’m trying to keep my face warm. Overall a happy customer the price is right and its SNELL and DOT approved which it very important to me as a first time rider.

John Fairfield,  CA The Best Buy of the year!!! I commute to San Francisco, 72 miles round trip on a 2002 ZX12R... This helmet keeps me warm during the cold, foggy morning ride and cool and comfortable during the ever changing afternoon ride home. The peripheral vision you get from the long side cut is awesome!! I have completely removed the guts and washed them once already and it is simple to do. The chin strap is super comfortable and easy to use blindly. The best overall feature has got to be the quietness of this helmet... 160 Bucks for an awesome looking ICON!!!! nice.

Joe Williamson,  GA Damn good helmet Comfortable helmet. I have been wearing it on humid 90 degree days and the airflow is great. The hydra liner is excellent at wiping the perspiration away. Looks better than the pictures here.

Aaron hamilton,  OH Icon=quality! Great helmet I must say. I weighed it and it weighs in at 4 lbs. not to heavy I don’t think. The graphics on the side will look like it’s scratched but its not. Which is pretty cool. It is pretty quiet. It will whistle with visor up when you are going over 40 but nothing crazy. As far as the venting goes, I think its good but I’m coming from motocross and the TLD helmet I have is more vented. But as far as that goes i got my moneys worth. Also people tend to think it cost a lot because of the graphics! Great helmet!

Ike Hurst Houston,  TX Battle cry info. Great graphics, good price, reliable helmet. My only negative comment is the plastic airflow on top of helmet. I recently dropped my last helmet and it rolled down the highway out of my truck. Amazingly it only suffered scratches to the gorgeous graphics. The only problem was the plastic airflow on top not only cracked, but it also easily ripped apart. I would suggest all helmets airflow run through the helmet to eliminate the plastic ripping off. I was amazed at the slight damage to the rest of the helmet after rolling down the highway at 55 m.p.h. I feel safe with Icon because a helmet at a steal of a price suffered scratches and nothing except the plastic airflow was damaged. I also love how minimal noise is heard at speeds at 75m.p.h. plus. Save money go Icon.

michael middletown,  DE GREAT Fits right on. Loved the designs as soon as I open the box. just got the bike its red I love my blue so got the blue gear now gone to paint my ride might use some of the designs on the bike. Only one thing, the pivots for the shield broke real quick. The store added them to my order with no worry an hour before they were ready to ship my second order so I didn’t have to pay 6.99 for shipment for something that’s 10.00 .
