Non-Bootie Designs: Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome; add to the boot’s thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the rider’s performance and comfort.

This high breathability is critical to your comfort because, simply put, sweaty feet are uncomfortable feet. Inside waterproof boots that are not breathable, moisture builds up and has nowhere to go. It then remains trapped against your skin, leaving your feet clammy, uncomfortable, and more prone to develop blisters.
This can be even more of a problem in high aerobic activities because the more active you are, the more your feet sweat ? we’re talking up to one full cup of water a day! Sidi’s GORE-TEX® lined boots is specifically designed to provide comfort and protection on a hard ride or for longer rides when the weather is warmer. The patented GORE-TEX® bootie is where it all starts. Nestled between the boot’s outer top grain leather and the inner liner, this bootie keeps water out while letting your perspiration vapor escape. As part of Sidi’s waterproof guarantee, EVERY bootie and boot produced is tested for waterproofness and breathability. And, to make sure the whole boot breathes the way it should, all leather and other textile materials used to construct Sidi GORE-TEX® boots are tested for breathability as well. Heel Detail: Three extended ribs are featured at the back of the boot to assist the rider in making upshifts with his heel when starting a race. Rigid, shock resistant, anatomically shaped heel for maximum protection.

Single Flex System: Utilized on the Charger boot the Single Flex System offers the rider free movement forward and backward while limiting its side to side deflection thus offering the rider maximum comfort and strength.
Buckles: Sidi’s exclusive cam-lock buckle system is acknowledged as the finest system on the planet. It must be as most of Sidi’s competitors have attempted to copy various aspects of it. The cam-lock buckle system incorporates a strap memory retention system. Adjust the straps once and they will be at the same position for every ride after that! No more readjusting for every ride or mid-day during a ride.
Toe Areas: The tip of the toe on the Charger boots are covered with plastic to protect the base material and seems against abrasion from brush etc. Plastic shift and brake lever guards on the top of each foot area.
Heat Shields: Each Sidi boot is equipped with an anti-heat undressed leather protection panel at the same height of most motorcycle’s exhaust heat shields.
Replaceable Parts: Every bolt on component of each Sidi off road boot is available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash or to make a custom colored boot to match his/her personal taste.
Composite Insole: Sidi is the only manufacture to use a composite insole that is anatomically shaped to the rider. A cushioned liner is provided that can be removed if the rider desires a more roomy fit. Sidi does not use steel shanks riveted to its insole like most manufactures, details such as this enable Sidi boots to enjoy a multi year service life versus the competitors multi month lifespan as over time, a steel shank can deteriorate, rust and fracture exposing the rider to injury.
Lining: Cambrelle is a lining that, due to its particular polyimide structure, guarantees a rapid drying rate after the boot gets wet or sweaty. This prevents the onset of mold forming which extends the boots lifespan dramatically. The Teflon treated mesh panels in the rear calf area of the boot allow humidity to escape while the boot is in use.
